My name is Valantis Toras and I’ve been DJing for a little over a decade now. When I first started DJing I was playing at house parties for birthdays. As the years progressed I was able to network within the industry and make clients of my own. Through this, I was able to start DJing at corporate functions as well as private parties. This later developed into gigs in some of Sydney’s biggest clubs, as well as weddings and christenings alike.
Throughout the years that I’ve spent in the entertainment industry, I’ve developed a wide-ranging client base by sticking to my philosophy which is open format DJing and making people happy. My success isn’t some big secret, it’s simple; it’s in the little details like tailored playlists, unlimited meetings to prepare for weddings or other big events, custom mixes, and appropriate music selection. Of course, I pay attention to my crowd, and my style of DJing is open format as I mentioned before. This is to cater to any demographic and play to the people I see in front of me- I’m not a DJ that plays pre-made mixes all night, I like to mix my music live to ensure it suits the crowd.
All things considered, when I look back on my career, I don’t see any regrets, only learning opportunities, I can definitely see growth in my skills and an ever-growing passion for my craft. Even still, I never turned my back on my roots to DJing, I’m still a mobile DJ, I’ve even created custom DJ gear to tailor for my mobile gigs. Although my trajectory has led me to corporate events, club gigs, and weddings. I still do mobile DJ sets, and this stems from my passion for what I do! Along with this, I always do my absolute best to stay on the cutting edge of the industry, and one of the many ways to do that is to be dedicated to keeping my music library up to date and constantly challenging myself to try new things and deliver top quality entertainment by giving 100% at every gig.
